Justine Ritchie (Photographic Artist, writer and certified forest bathing guide) and Alison Roe (award winning Nature Writer ) have teamed up to bring you this immersive nature connection and mindful creativity workshop.
Justine is a photographic artist, writer and Certified Forest Bathing guide based high above the shores of Lochbroom.
Her work is very much inspired by the wild, elemental landscapes and seascapes of the Scottish Highlands and Islands and has been featured in various Royal Photographic Society publications as well as The Great Outdoors Magazine.
She adopts a mindful, intuitive and immersive approach to her work incorporating both camera based and alternative photographic processes - both of which make their way into various hand made books.
Recognising the benefits of being outside led her to the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku where she learnt to deepen her own connection to nature and subsequently trained as a Certified Forest Bathing guide in 2020. She has since led mindful creativity and nature connection workshops in the Northwest Highlands.
Her work can be found at www. Justineritchie.com
Alison Roe is from Edinburgh and now lives on the north-west Highland coast of Scotland. She’s always been drawn to the sea and the north and is currently writing a book about a sailing trip to Arctic Norway. She has had work published on the Scottish Mountaineering Press Creatives platform and in Northwords Now and Stravaig (the journal of the Scottish Centre for Geopoetics). When not writing, she's usually up a hill, playing taiko (Japanese drums), building dry stone walls or flitting around in her van, a mobile writing studio which doubles up as drum transport. Her musings on all this wash up intermittently at solanoire.com
