LAND and TIDE
by Nathalie Holbrook
APRIL 3 - 10 MAy 2015
OPEN DAILY FROM 10AM UNTIL 5PM
Land and Tide is a collection of works from the land by Nathalie Holbrook. At the root of the exhibition is the idea that all entities have a home and story. Holbrook aims to uncover and assess the geological, ecological and social histories of these entities and to draw in particular on the concept of home making.
‘I explore the fragmentation of memories; both our own and those adopted by our environment and transmute these into objects. Are stones fragile with history because we share stories together or heavy with the weight of the many stories told by the feet of travellers?’ Nathalie Holbrook
