Family workshop: making seaweed at Ullapool Marine Weekend

Join artist Lar MacGregor by the shoreline crafting seaweed treasures out of discarded plastic bags in this free drop-in family workshop as part of the Ullapool Marine Weekend on the Pier.

Plastic littering our seas and coastlines and threatening marine life is one of the greatest environmental problems we currently face. Come and explore some of issues and enjoy a simple, practical way to turn rubbish into something beautiful.

We hope to display everyone’s artwork outside at the end of the session (weather permitting). The workshop is part of a range of events at the Ullapool Marine Weekend organised by Scottish Wildlife Trust - Living Seas to highlight marine conservation and sustainability.

This session is a free drop-in event and runs from 12.15pm to 2.15pm. Children under the age of 8 should be accompanied by an adult please.
