This exhibition reflects on the constructions, definitions and meanings of contemporary Scottish Identity. Conceived of from the vantage point of post-Devolution and looking towards the 2014 Scottish Referendum on Independence this exhibition considers the nebulous concept of Scottishness. Over the Counter-Culture shows the work of artists whose work challenges the creation of myths, history and heritage as they reveal the complex layers of national identity which make up modern Scotland.
